Smash!

Walmart had this swing chair that I wanted to get for our house – you know, now we actually have a yard, lets get a little yard furniture.

Well we finally got it yesterday. Barely fit in the back of our little Taurus. We got it home and started putting it together in the yard. Our yard has a dip to it, so it was still wet and full of water. It was really kind of miserable smushing around in the grass and slipping on the cardboard and stuff.

But finally we had it all together and it looked great! So we picked it up together -it’s pretty light – and started moving to the front of the house where we figured it would fit best. We had to edge past the car, and it didn’t quite fit. So we set it down next to the car and I got in to back it up so it would fit past.

I was looking behind me to make sure I didn’t hit the Saab and as I was turning to look the other way (to be sure I didn’t hit the brace for the house’s overhang) Jeff was waving his arms like mad and shaking his head. Then CRUNCH! I ran over the swing.

I got the car straight and backed it out. Jumped out and ran over, Jeff was laughing/crying on the ground. The back bar on the swing is bent all the way to the ground and Jeff was freaking out about spending the time and money to build something I ran over in a minute.

Luckily, since it’s a Walmart thing, we can just call the number for replacement parts and have them send us a new bar. They usually don’t care how it got broken. The same thing happened when we bought desks from Walmart, we broke the top of the desk and called for more. We ended up with two more sets arriving.

The Real Terror Threat

This last weekend showed us the true threat to our ways of life. With so much news about the war in Iraq and the school shootings, I wanted to take one second to remind you who our real enemies are. Picture below:

Those of you who know me well enough (read Dianna) automatically think “oh man, Jeff’s on another crazy rant!” But WAIT! A flag pole in Michigan was brought down by high speed winds and killed a kindergarten girl. We’re not talking college students or soldiers, but a little girl, five years old. So who really is the terrorist? I think it’s the flag poles!

Another threat to our way of life…. little orange fur balls. Anyone seen keef do his floppy-paws? Well, then you know that we think its funny. It’s very funny. And then you know that keef thinks it’s very unfunny. He’s just biding his time, all right. One night, POW! he’s a terrorist waiting to happen.

Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Jeff and I got so excited about our Easter baskets to each other that we exchanged them on Tuesday.

We had to work on Saturday, and then we goofed off in Ogden for the rest of the night.

On Sunday morning Jeff had a seizure so we spent the day inside resting him up and treating his owwies. :)

Other than that, there is not much to report. Working as usual, hanging out at home until the wee hours of the morning just like always!
