Our Family

I was born in Ogden, Utah on February 5th, 1986 and lived in Mesa, Arizona for a time where my brother Benjamin was born. We moved up to Nibley, Utah where my little sis Elicia was born, and then we moved into an old house in Wellsville, Utah and stayed for quite a few years. Before I started high school, we moved to a town named Lake in the Hills in Illinois. At the end of my sophomore year, we moved to Forest Grove, Oregon, and I finished out high school.



Jeff was born on January 20th, 1986 in Tacoma, Washington. His family built a home on an airport named Crest Airpark in Kent, Washington and Jeff lived there all his life. That is, until I convinced him to come to Utah with me to pursue college.



Jeff and I met on a Star Wars chat site, then called “The Cron”, and we emailed and such until my family moved close enough for his family to fly down to visit on occasion.



We got married on December 22nd, 2005 in the Logan LDS Temple, and had our reception at our singles’ ward building. I love Christmas, and everything was Christmas themed. We went to Belize for two weeks and then moved into our new townhome in Logan and got to work filling it with pets.



Our first addition actually came a month before we got married. We got him from the Cache Humane Society, and named him Vash the Stampede, after our favorite anime character from Trigun. Actually, he’s not much of a stampede.



The second kitten we got (also from the Humane Society) came in June of 2006. We named him Keefer after the redhead character in Invader Zim. Keef almost wasn’t with us very long; one morning we discovered him nearly unconscious in his bed, barely breathing. After a rush to the vet’s and $100 in tests, he came home to us. The vet said he suffered from a stomach infection, ringworm (which we are still getting over), dehydration, hypothermia, and possible kidney failure. He’s doing much much better now.



Our newest pet is a blue-white parakeet we’ve named Elric after the brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. He’s still a little shy but getting better at sitting on our fingers.
